SDIS55 improves the asset management of its fire stations

Context

The Meuse Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS55) operates 42 fire stations, totaling over 31,000 m². The Asset Management Department aims to optimize its annual investment budget to improve the condition of SDIS’s real estate portfolio, in order to meet strategic and operational challenges. To achieve this, SDIS needs to centralize knowledge of its assets and define a prioritized multi-year investment plan.

What did we do?

Assess the performance of the real estate portfolio: collect technical data and conduct diagnostics
Model the assets and simulate maintenance strategies based on their impact on performance and asset aging
Compare scenarios and provide recommendations to optimize the investment strategy by prioritizing the most impactful rehabilitation actions

Gains

Consolidation and centralization of asset knowledge

Objective planning of investment needs over a 5–15 year horizon

Anticipation of prioritized rehabilitations based on asset aging and operational constraints
