Groupe E, a leading Swiss energy company, runs its hydroelectric developments under concessions that end on fixed dates — and a concession holder hands its assets back in an agreed condition, whatever the plant's real state on the day. Its Direction Énergie Électrique also carries photovoltaic, wind and electric-vehicle charging assets, each with its own master plan. Groupe E set out to optimise the value of its hydro developments at the end of concession, and to hold the master plans of every business sector of the division on one reference rather than one per sector.
