Context
The Région Grand Est is responsible for a large upper secondary school estate spread across twelve regional territories. In 2021 it launched its Lycées verts programme, dedicated to the thermal renovation of those schools, and engaged more than a hundred renovation operations in three years. The Region set itself the objective of putting the next phase of that work on a documented base: collecting and exploiting the asset data it already held, on a representative group of schools, so that condition and energy performance could be read on one shared reference and turned into work programmes.

Why map technical and strategic condition separately?
Because a component can be physically sound and still fail the Region's regulatory, energy or comfort objectives — and the reverse. Reading both makes it possible to identify the schools where wear and energy profile together justify a priority action plan.
What does a global maintenance scenario cover?
It sets out, over the whole perimeter studied, which works are carried out and in what order, so that physical deterioration is countered and energy performance improved by the same programme rather than by two competing ones.
